Honor Flights to Washington D.C.
Memorial
Free Flights for Veterans
The Honor
Flight Network recognizes American veterans for their sacrifices
and achievements by flying them to Washington, D.C. to visit and
reflect at the memorials built in their honor at no cost. Top priority
is given to terminally ill veterans from all wars. Honor flight
is currently providing flights to all World War II veterans.
If you know of a veteran with a terminal
illness or a World War II veteran, download a veteran
application and then stop by our office for assistance completing the application and/or to turn in the
application.
Honor Flight Guardians
Honor Flight would not be successful
without the generous support of our guardians.
Guardians play a significant role on every trip, ensuring that every
veteran has a safe and memorable experience. Duties include, but
are not limited to, physically assisting the veteran at the airport,
during the flight and at memorials. Guardians are responsible for
their own expenses (airline fare, etc.). To apply, download our Honor
Flight Guardian Application and then stop by our
office for assistance completing the application and/or to turn
in the application.
Honor Flight Volunteers
Honor Flight Columbus would not be successful without the dedicated help provided by the volunteers. Volunteers are important – from clerical support to airport assistance aiding the veterans both at the beginning and at the end of each trip.
Please consider the wide range of opportunities; every little bit helps. To apply, download our Honor
Flight Volunteer Application and contact Bobbi and Bill Richards, Honor Flight Columbus at 614-284-4987 or visit us on the web at honorflightcolumbus.org.
For additional information on the Honor Flight, visit the Honor
Flight Network website or email Columbus@honorflight.org
